Consent & Privacy Model
You decide. AdPriva is privacy-first and consent-driven, fully aligned with global data protection standards like GDPR, ePrivacy, CCPA and FTC Advertising Substantiation.
Instead of harvesting personal data, AdPriva verifies engagement with cryptographic proofs delivering compliance without surveillance.
Core Principles
- No cookies or fingerprinting → AdPriva never relies on hidden identifiers.
- Explicit user control → Users select ad categories in the AdPriva ID App and can revoke consent anytime.
- Data minimization → Only cryptographic proofs (Consent Receipts, Bounded-Use Proofs, Engagement Proofs) are stored.
- Transparency → All proofs are auditable in the AdPriva Explorer.
- Right to revoke → Once a user opts out, no further proofs are generated.
Consent Flow
- User choice → In the ID App, users select which ad categories they want to see.
- Publisher check → The AdPriva Tag validates consent before serving any ad.
- Engagement → If the user interacts, a cryptographic proof (Consent, Bounded-Use, Engagement) is created.
- Proof storage → Proofs are logged in pseudonymous form never linked to personal identity.
- Revocation → If a user opts out, the Tag immediately stops proof generation.
Privacy Guarantees
- Zero third-party data leakage → No IP storage, no cross-site sharing.
- Pseudonymous IDs → User references never map back to real identities.
- Zero-Knowledge Proofs → Verification without exposing underlying user data.
- Tamper-evident logs → Daily snapshots provide verifiable audit trails.
- DPIA Pack (Data Protection Impact Assessment) → Provided for publishers to demonstrate GDPR compliance.
Legal Alignment
- GDPR (EU) → Built on explicit user consent (Article 6).
- ePrivacy Directive (5.3) → No storage or access on devices without consent.
- CCPA (California) → “Do Not Sell My Data” is honored by default.
- GPC (Global Privacy Control) → Planned support for browser-based consent signals.
- FTC Advertising Substantiation → Every campaign claim is backed by cryptographic evidence.
